Help! I have recently acquired a Roland jd-800

and I need to get the thing opened. the problem is it looks like it had the left side pushed in. Something is holding up its opening. I have removed the screws that I am supposed to while the right side is free, the left is just stuck and I really don’t want to break that left cheek anymore than it already is. any suggestions?

You might want to open up the entire synth fully to extract the left side panel safely. That way you can also check:

  1. Power supply and capacitors
  2. the keybed
  3. lastly but not least, check on the red glue issue
I can’t be of any help as I would let a technician do all this. Best of luck.
