I just cleaned the contacts on a friend’s Juno 2 keybed.
When I took the keys out, the transparent plastic stripe holding the keys back fell appart on half of the keyboard. The sticky thing gluing it to the metal is so old it’s just useless now.
I’m trying to figure out a way to glued it back on the metal. Double sided foam or tape I guess…
what is the purpose of these? is it just to hold the keys back in the metal plate when there’s no spring ? Is it an essential part of the keybed ? Is it a problem if I don’t glue it back ?
in the long run maybe ?
