Korg Kronos 88 Felt Replacement

Hello,

I was having some clicking notes so I got the replacement felt item 7184 and took out the old felt and put in the new felt… Now I am having notes not speaking, it was a bit thicker. I’m wondering if I should remove it and sand it down or something. The old felt was 3-4 mm thinner than the new. Anyone have any ideas.

I tried to shrink the felt down a bit using steam and an iron. That did not work. I then pealed the bottom side of the black felt off and then glued it on using some fabric glue. That seemed to do the trick. All of my notes are playing fine at this point and I do not have any clicks.
