Kurzweil Midiboard – V3 Upgrade

Hello and greetings from Germany!

I have a Kurzweil Midiboard with short logic board. It was upgraded to v3 with a daughterboard. When I boot get error “7 ERR” which means that there is a problem with the non volatile RAM.

I opened the hood and saw that the red and black wire from the daughter board got loose. As far as I understand those two wires a soldered to the legs of the 6116 at position U14. I can see some solder residue but I dont know which cable goes to which leg???

Can anybody please help?

Maybe somebody knows where it goes or owns a short logic board version and can open the unit and send a photo?

Thank you so very much for any help!!!

Best regards

Clemens

Here is the Data sheet for CDM6116AE2 looks like one of the wires were soldered to pin 4/ address 4. Most of the time the length of the shorter wire when cut could only go to one of the 2 pins of U14. Locate the soldered on the other pin then see which of the wires make it to that pin easily. This is only a guess. Have you looked for the schematics?

You can purchase the installation guide at this site online. If available it should show where the wires go. Good luck!
