# KX88 digital dsplay flashing chaotically

Yamaha KX88

Owned for 25 years and has worked flawlessly. Plugged in today and digital numeric display flashing random numbers and letters, and switch lights included in the pyrotechnic display of lights and of course no Miidi output.  
Tried doing a factory reset, after unplugging for 60 seconds, more of the same

Do you have a link to the video showing the fault?

Have you downloaded the service manual? That will help do some basic checks.

Hi Kevin

Thanks for getting back to me. I do not have the service manual but I do have a crude video, and i will try to upload it to you but the message board here reads, that it cant be done as the file has the “wrong extenstions”. Is there another way to send it?

The service manual is available online. Just google for it.

The preferred route seems to be to upload to YouTube and provide a link here.
