I have a Prokeys 88 that I’ve used for gigging for about 15 years. It has started occasionally producing a very loud brief buzz/glitch sound in the signal, which I’m hoping to be able to repair. It also has a rattling sound when moved, so my completely uneducated guess is that there’s something loose in there bouncing around and occasionally causing a short.
I’m tempted to pop it open and see if I can spot anything. Is this advisable? Am I barking up the wrong tree? I have some electronic hobbyist experience but have never opened a prebuilt keyboard up before.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations,
