I have an early Oberheim Matrix 12 without aftertouch keyboard. The synthesizer responds perfectly to a MIDI keyboard with aftertouch. Is there any way to upgrade my Matrix 12 to give aftertouch functionality from its own keyboard.

I have the same request. Is there a way to upgrade or replace the keyboard to install aftertouch? I see a keyboard contacts part in the Syntaur Matrix 12 parts list, does that item work?
On a Matrix-12 the aftertouch strip connects to pin 1 and 3 of red connector F (adjacent to R21 near the bottom of the board). The strip measures about 17 megohms with no pressure down to about 10.5 kohms with full pressure. Assuming you can source and install a strip that comes close to this, and the early firmware supports the aftertouch connector, it should work.
