About a year ago 1 key on my Grandmother stopped responding. All the notes play fine when controlling the Grandmother with an external keyboard, so I assumed I had a bad key contact. I took it apart and discovered a glob of something had fallen through the keys and collected on the key contact board near that key. My son was around 3 at the time and I think he dropped something between the keys. I did my best to clean the goop off using isopropryl alcohol and a soft toothbrush. I cleaned under the silicon contact strip, and all around the board. I got everything cleaned up, reassembled and now 3 of the keys aren’t responding properly. The same one as before and the next two up. Do you think I damaged the carbon contacts in cleaning it?
Any other thoughts?
