I am replacing a broken “white” key on an Oberheim Matrix 6. I have removed the broken key. The spring beneath the key is now free and not connected to anything. I have searched online and have not found much help. It is not clear to me what the spring attaches to when I install the new key. Does anyone have experience with this? I suppose I can remove another key and see how that spring is attached.
I figured it out by taking another key off. It is a little surprising to me how the key springs are loose and free once you remove the key. I will take a picture of the spring orientation and placement to help others in the future.
