Roland JX3P - Battery Replacement: rechargeable?

I want to replace the battery in my 40 year old JX3P and I see a lot of chat in forums about some swapping out the original with a coin cell holder instead of having to track down a 1/3N cell with solder wings. My question is…isn’t the original a rechargeable cell?
In the forums I’ve read regarding the replacement of the coin cell holder they never talk about the actual cell they’re sticking in there. My guess is they are just putting a regular coin cell in place which would work but if the original is a rechargeable and that circuit is sending power to the cell it could kill the replacement or worse and cause it to leak or even burn.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

It looks very much like the battery isn’t rechargeable.
The service manual just has this battery connected to the power on the RAM chips.
There isn’t any charging circuitry and the default voltage is 3.3v.
Did you see the video https://youtu.be/k5N8sUeGxeY which shows the battery replacement?

I have changed dozens of JX3P batteries with standard 2032 coin battery and a battery holder and never had a problem. Some synths have rechargeable 3V batteries but the JX3P is not one of them.

You can buy the same battery type new it’s a CR1/3. with leads. The originals were so good that it doesn’t surprise me anymore when I come across one still with full charge and 1983 is a 4 decades ago now!
