I recently bought a Roland S-550. Everything seems in order but the input jack doesn’t feel like it makes a solid connection and, of course, no input when sampling. I assume the jack is broken. I’ve looked for a replacement part but I can’t find an available part for this part #. Does anyone know if there are replacement parts that would work that are readily available?
Is there an input level potentiometer on the front panel? If so, double check that to see if there’s a bad solder joint or broken pot.
Synth-parts.com will have the Jalco 1/4” mono jack. They are located in Germany. The part you’re looking for is YKB21-5011. I think YKB21-5010 will work
