Synth techs in Texas

Hey everyone,

i wanted to reach out and ask if there are any trustworthy synth techs in Texas, specifically Houston. I know syntuar does not really take in repair requests and most of the synth tech recommendations that they have listed are outdated and none are in business anymore which is a bit of a bummer. ive done all i can to repair as much as i can with little soldering knowledge but my electrical skill knowledge is just not there. if anyone knows a good synth tech in Houston or even Dallas it would be much appreciated.

Got one right here and I’m located in Houston. I currently have a ton of work on my bench, mostly Ensoniq samplers and synths, but would be willing to hear what you need help with. Thanks

If this is for your JX3P, have you identified the faulty component(s) and just need the repair done or do you need additional diagnostic work performed on the unit? Has the power supply already been recapped? I’m sure you already went down the ground isolation rabbit hole, as well as checking to see if the noise is present (or louder/softer) when the built in chorus is on or off. Is the buzzing present only when playing notes or when the synth is idle? I assume this occurs regardless if you are monitoring through headphones, main outs, mixer, audio interface and you’re using balanced audio cables? It could also be an issue with the volume pot which would be much better than a bad BBD chip. Let me know!
