Transported my yamaha on a plane. When I arrived power button light flickers when I hold it down but otherwise no signs of life on keyboard. Seems like it’s the power button gone. If so would it be easy to wire it powered on all the time? Otherwise Is it easy to replace the power button (for someone with no soldering experience)?
Thanks…
The power button is soft touch isn’t it? A momentary push powers up the board.
I’d open up and check the cables are all plugged in.
Also, is the power supply brick working OK?
Thanks for the reply. Yes it’s soft touch. The power adapter is working OK as tested it with a multimeter. I will try an alternative one though. I’ll also open it up to have a look. Im guessing I will likely see printed circuits which will stump me but we’ll see. I’m away from the keyboard until June. I’ll take a look then.
