niksGear

Lifelong keyboard player and songwriter. Amateur keyboard “parts replacer” (as opposed to “tech,” a term whose dignity I have yet to earn.) Lover of gear since the days of the Farfisa Compact and the RMI 300B (one of which I bought new in 1972 and still have–and it still works!) Mostly a Yamaha guy (starting with a DX7 in 1984) but have owned and loved Rolands, Ensoniqs, Wurlies, Rhodeses, Hohners, Hammonds and even a brilliant yellow Studiologic Sledge 2.0. (Fatar comes from the region in Italy that my father’s family is from.)

Currently in residence:
RMI 300B
RMI DK-20 (extremely rare and the last RMI product)
Ensoniq TS-12
Studiologic Sledge 2.0
Yamaha DX5
Yamaha EX5R
Yamaha FS1R
Yamaha Motif XF8 (white)
