Hi I just got a 626 and need to change lithium battery. Do I need to soldering it? I tried this once on a old ry30 and it was a nightmare

A Roland TR-626? Yes, installing the new battery will require soldering. Lithium batteries can explode if heated too much so if you aren’t very experienced with soldering I’d recommend taking it to a technician.
