Hello,
If anyone is reading this, I hope you’re doing well. I’m wondering if anyone has advice for a little Alesis V49 repair.
I transported my midi keyboard with the USB cord plugged in, and the port broke (I know, classic). I tried soldering on a new USB port, but failed and broke my jackboard (shown in image–too embarrassed by my soldering skills to show the other side).
I’m wondering if anyone knows where I could possibly get one of these jackboards / has any advice for a kid who wants to fix his midi keyboard.
Thank you!!

SOLVED! This USB cord (Amazon link below), which was kind of a long shot, happened to work! If anyone has the same issue.
I just ditched the entire jackboard and plugged the new USB cord into the main circuit board. Worked like a charm.

I ran into a similar situation, found your post, and ordered the cable from Amazon to give it a shot! It just came in but both the new cable and the port for the original jackboard are male sides with pins, where did you actually connect the cable on the main circuit board?
