ASR-10 - Gotek USB drive booting OS, but getting "Disk Drive Not Ready" when loading anything else

Ensoniq ASR-10 Keyboard – Gotek USB drive booting OS, but getting “Disk Drive Not Ready” when loading anything else

• Model & revision/OS: Ensoniq ASR-10 Keyboard, OS 3.53
• Symptoms (what changed, when): Installed new Gotek floppy emulator, keyboard is able to load OS and instruments contained within OS disk image, but whenever I navigate to another disk image on the Gotek and attempt Command > Load Instrument, I get “Disk Drive Not Ready”
• Tests already done (voltages, parts replaced): Jumper is on S0. Tried adding additional jumper on MO as well as a few other jumper positions (can provide more detail if needed), nothing worked. FF.CFG file has host = ensoniq and interface = ibmpc-hdout, experimented with a few other edits to the file (saw a github forum where someone solved the same issue by altering several lines in their .cfg) but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
• Photos / audio clips:

For ASR-10 you need jumper on S0 and the following lines in your FF.CFG

host = ensoniq

interface = ibmpc-hdout

But seems like you got that right. Are your disk images .HFE or .IMG files? .HFE is what worked for us. I think that’s everything it took for us to get the Goteks working with the ASR-10. Did this ASR-10 read disks fine from floppy disks before changing to the Gotek? Very peculiar that yours will read the OS disk but nothing else.
