The sustain pedal on my CLP-230 has stopped working recently. I’ve tried the obvious solution’s of unplugging the cable, turning it off and on, plugging the cable back in, and turning it off and on again.
Does anyone have any tips for this model piano?
Can you test the pedal with a multimeter?
Most pedals simply close or open a contact.
Put the probes on the appropriate connector pins and check for continuity
Most common problem is the little circuit board where the three pedals contacts are located. You have to remove the pedal unit, then remove the three pedals and then remove the circuit board. You are looking at the circuit board trace in yellow on the picture - they usually corrode (trace is going black rather than green - compare with others). measure with a meter and if it fails just somehow bridge it with a piece of wire.
