I’ve looked in the service manual for the Korg M1 and can’t find a way to boot the M1 into a self-test diagnostic mode, was wondering if it could be done? Thanks
You sent instructions for the Korg Karma, not M1. Not sure how this is supposed to help?
Not sure if you are aware of this, but Korg doesn’t offer support for 30-year-old equipment. Customer support for the M1 has long been discontinued…
No I’m afraid not. The first time I saw anything like this in a Korg it was a Wavestation a few years later. What’s it doing? Almost all issues go back to the PSU or backup battery. I got an M1R a couple months back and the PSU was a disaster, severely leaking caps, resistor leads burned off, inductors overheated and cracked open. $40 worth of components and a good cleaning and it’s purring like a kitten.
