DX27 no memory, does it need a battery or more?

Memory gone on the old DX27. Does it just need a battery? Or could the memory chip also need replacing.

Most keys work. Buttons are pretty finicky.

What’s worth repairing/replacing?

What you mean “Memory gone … ?!?”. If it works then memory is OK as far as I am concerned. If CR2032 3V battery is dead it just wont hold stored settings and the unit reverts to factory on every power up.
The DX27 has tactile switches on the panel boards - they can easily be replaced (tactile switches are known to go funny after a while)

Thanks, wernersaurs. I needed a little encouragement that it might just require a few simple fixes. You’ve confirmed my hopes for inexpensive improvements.
