E-MU Mo-Phatt Rackmount Error Message

Is there a part that can be purchased for this error message? Does Snytaur sell? See attached. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!20180525_001120

I have reached out to an E-mu expert, but have not heard back on this. The message seems to clearly indicate that a memory chip has failed - but we don’t have service information on the Mo Phatt, nor do we have one around, so I can’t tell you exactly what chip (or chips) that might be.

I’ll post back if I learn anything further.

In the Proteus 2000 series E-mu used a relatively standard 72-pin DRAM SIMM of up to 8MB capacity which is used exclusively as temporary storage for the SIMM presets, which are copied there from the SIMMs at boot time.

I’ve just pulled one from a Mo’Phatt and the SIMM is populated with 4x MT4C1M16C3DJ-6 ICs (Fast Page Mode, 1M x 16, 5V, 60ns).

I’m pretty sure this is organised as 2M x 32, and any off-the-shelf 8MB FPM 60ns SIMM should work.
