I have a Ensoniq MR76 that will not hold idea pad in memory after power down. I don’t think it keeps song memory either unless there is a way that I can’t see to save them. The OS version is 1.45. What can I do to get the memory fixed and update the OS. I was told that there is not a battery on this model. Was also told it is flash memory that was designed to work for 20 years.
I guess an eprom. Do I have to update in stages or just get and install the most current version, 2.11. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Are you sure there’s no battery? My Korg wavstation SR was doing the same. All I needed was a new lithium battery which I was able to purchase at Whalgreens. Double check on that. Don’t just go on what somebody tells you. Even my Alesis MMT-8 Sequencer and Tascam DM-3200 Mixer use a Lithium Battery. It looks like a thicker version of a quarter… ya’ know 25 cents. Look for it yourself by removing the rear panel if necessary. If it does have a dead Lithium battery it’s a simple fix. Just make sure you put the new battery in the same way the old battery was in and not upside down. Hope this helps
