I have a SD-1 which someone else installed the Gotek floppy emulator into, the USB stick they have was made by syntaur. I have checked to make sure the jump pin is in the right spot, It was not so i moved it. I have made sure the files are formatted properly, I have tried different USB sticks. I have made sure all connectors are installed properly. What can I do to make the Gotek work? every time I try to use it the lights flash and the display of the SD1 says “the disc drive is not ready”.
Thanks,
Joe

Mine is a Ensoniq SD-1 32 voice, I just got the Gotek/Syntaur floppy reader for Ensoniq SD-1 32 voice,
its installed the screen comes up but it does what your s did, “The drive is not ready” and “Sequencer is not loaded” I thought these were pretty much plug and play… I am getting frustrated to say the least after spending money and also bought the Ram upgrade from a seller on Reverb that didnt even ship them, and then when I got them, I found out I already have the latest chips. Very frustrating, I hope we can get these up and going, cuz I have projects that I need to have up and going before the end of the month…
Ensoniq requires very specific preparation for installing the Gotek emulator due to the non-standard partitioning of FD-drives. Because of this, all standard Gotek emulations cannot work correctly. I can’t remember what to do right now, but the information is available online… search and you’ll definitely find the answer.
