My ESQ was serviced and seemed fine for a week before the display began scrambling and re-scrambling. I was going to order a replacement display kit but then noticed that internal voices were swelling up in amplitude and not stopping until shutoff. Hard resets worked only briefly.
So the voice issue seems to indicate it’s not just the display but possibly something pulling hard on or otherwise corrupting the OS-RAM. Someone suggested an electrolytic on the battery backup voltage line could be leaking dc and causing the memory to corrupt. But I am wondering if the symptoms suggest anything else to the folks here.
I have not taken proper care of this ESQ, looks great but it’s definitely been stored in damp environments.
