I am in the process of repairing an ESQ1 metallic, replacement of the screen processor replacement.
Do any synthesizer fellowship members have knowledge about Rainer Buchty’s active status on any forum? I am interested in contacting him.
i haven’t corresponded with him in a while.
I did buy once of those masked rom chips off him a age ago. in the end it didn’t turn out to be the issue so i retained it as a spare.
in fact the fault, preventing the VFD from starting, was very obscure and related to the bipolars 7407 which are on the disk interface and their relationship to the DUART - d4 to 6500/11. rainer had not encountered this before.
