I recently purchased a GEM Pro 2 in fine shape, certainly good enough to play the canned sounds. When I hooked it up to my laptop over MIDI, I get some strange commands sent. I verified all of this using MIDIOx. Rather then sending note on/off messages, it sends resets, pitch bends, and bank changes.
Because it ain’t, like me, no spring chicken, I suspect the MIDI version needs to be updated/upgraded/patched. Any suggestions about how I might go about doing this (if it’s even possible at all)?
