[Fatar/Studiologic] [Studio 900] – [No Power/want to Mod]
This is an update/ request follow up on my No Power issue with my Studio 900 MIDI controller keyboard.
I have been unable to repair the main circuit board to get the unit to power up.
I have decided to modify the board by repurposing the keybed. I’ve got a few Teensy 4.1 microcontroller boards, and they can be programmed to be used as HID MIDI controllers.
I’m wondering if there is anyone here who has chased (ohmed out) the keybed matrix (I’d rather not have to reinvent the wheel if someone has). It appears to be 2 x 20 pin ribbon cables, that I don’t mind tapping into. Even hand drawn or hand lettered list wold be appreciated.
If nobody has done this, or has records that show this, I’m willing to take the time to do so, and I’d be happy to share.
I put myself on the wait list for a different main board on the Syntaur store page, but there are 17 of us on the list. I think that this could be a good community project. Maybe I could figure out how to do a GitHub or Instructables page to document everything. The programming is bog standard Arduino (C++), and is redily available, very useable (with a few minor customizations), and is straightforward.
