Hi, my unit has a problem with the output, it all seem weak and unclear and some instruments have no sound at all. Through the onboard headphone out, I hear perfectly. All my cables are new. Will there be a part where I can fix it? Send it to my local guy and they say it is beyond them.
From glancing at the schematics, the headphone output has a separate circuit from the main outputs, so I am guessing that there is a component failure (most likely an op amp) in the main output circuitry. It will take an experienced tech, who can track the signal and see just where it is getting lost, to determine what is needed for repair. And these components are surface mount, which are tiny and require special equipment to work on them. I hate to be a doomsayer, but the cost of repair could well exceed the value of the Kaossilator. Maybe you just use the Headphone out from here on…
