I have an emx 1 that i need to replace the master volume and tube gain potentiometer. do i need x2 of the ones specially marked for volume, or does the tube gain potentiometer a different one?
it’s been years since i’ve used it and i’ve been using the unit in the united states, moving to europe soon and wanted to bring it with me, will i need anything special power wise to use it in europe?
Hi, don’t know about the potentiometer, but in Europe we use 220V so you need to check if your adapter can handle both 110V like you use in USA and 220V that we use in Europe. We also use a different plug that we connect in the wall. Both of the pictures show EuPlugs, the first one is not grounded, but you can use it in a grounded wallsocket
If you’re bringing it to Europe than I highly suggest purchasing a Step Up/ Step Down External portable Transformer. I recently purchased an Akai S950 sampler from Europe for use in the United States. It’s only able to use 240/ 220W Power AC. The U.S. only uses 110-120W AC Power. I purchased a Step UP/ Step Down External Transformer on Amazon. The Brand and Model is: LiteFuse 5000. It’s allowed me to use the Akai S950 from the U.K. in the U.S. safely with no power issues. I highly recommend it.
