KORG M50 noisy keybed fix!?

Hello,

In the KORG M50 service manual, there’s no trace of the “key released” keybed cushion.

In your part list for KORG M50, I could only find this one:

Keybed cushion, or " KB Felt" as stated in the SM.

Upon releasing the keys, some of the keys on M50, (only white ones) are literally vibrating and dancing for about 1-2 seconds.

The KORG M50 SM doesn’t describe, or show, the inner mechanic and parts of the keybed itself. Maybe there’s a “key release” cushion after all?

Can someone shed some light on this? Shall I order Part #8539 for this, or not?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

So… Bump or not? Have I reached a dead end?

Do the keys trigger off the sounds? Or are the keys dead? I would contact Korg Support and explain your problem.

The keys work, they trigger synth sounds, but as I said they are loud and all the things I already described.

Korg support recommended that I contact my local Korg distributor. That is not a solution as I need the synth daily.

If the felt has gone, you can buy replacement felt strip on Aliexpress.
Search for “digital piano felt strip”

As I described in my intial post, I’m looking for “key released” keybed cushion. Upon releasing the keys, some of the keys on M50, (only white ones) are literally vibrating and dancing for about 1-2 seconds.

So, need a solution for that. As mentioned, in the KORG M50 service manual, there’s no trace of the “key released” keybed cushion.
