hey everyone, so I made a post about my jx3p having issues with the master tune potentiometer drifting and I thought I had fixed it with just cleaning but the problem came back and now it drifts even more! putting the master tune in the middle is suppose to be 442hz but it shows that its 444hz so its way off!!! I’ve decided i want to just replace the potentiometer my self instead of buying a whole new board so I wanted to ask if any regular 10kb potentiometer on eBay can be used in this repair? someone on the old post recommended that a 10kb would do the trick but there so many types on eBay that idk which to choose and syntuar doesn’t have the part listed on there site. If anyone can link the exact part to get on eBay that would be much appreciated!!!
Before you spend money, have you done a calibration on it yet? Replacement boards are non existent and that style of pot with a back brace is also non existent. it would require cannibalizing a pot and replacing components of the pot to make a frankenpot.
Try the calibration first.
Have you checked the bend pitch to see if it is off center or the housing is broken. It can cause deviation as well.
Not sure if ths helps, but here is a link to a Reddit discussion of something similar. I usually rush out and get a service manual…
