Hello, I am new to synth repairs as I just found a Mulitvox mx-202 in my grandmothers house as we were cleaning it out. It gets power but makes no sound. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for suggestions for what I should try to fix so that it would make sound. Also, I have tried very hard to find a service manual or schematics for it but can’t find anything and if any of yall have any ideas on where I might find that I would be very grateful. Lastly, if you have any general tips for synth repair I am all ears and would love to learn what I should do and be aware of.
Thank you!
@Sam of Syntaur assumingly revived one (the first search result in google is Sams video). So maybe he has some schematics. If not: It is quite similar to he Roland RS-202, for which the service manual is available in the web.
Check if the battery is Dead Simple!
Ehhhm: what would a battery in a string machine from the mid-70s be good for? Sorry, but there is none…
Lol everything runs on batteries didn’t you know ?
