Octave Cat SRM restoration

Octave Cat SRM restoration. Looking for the 2/3 way switches and any tips for restoration.

Snagged a Cat of the ‘bay. None working, lights on but nobody at home. I’ve recapped the PSU. Had to replace the -15 voltage regulator. Voltages are fine now. I’m about to dive in to finding the faults on the boards and I’ll recap the boards too. Importantly, does anybody know where I can get a couple of the 2 way switches - the VCO1 Audio switch is missing/broken and the VCO envelope also. I’ve had a look for originals but none out there I can find. Is there a source of NOS or a ‘modern’ replacement that will work. I’m happy to swap all the switches out if I can find suitable replacments. Also, any restoration tips would be very welcome. Thanks and all the best, Craig

e.g., korg, models-korg-m1, no-power
If your model isn’t listed: use models–tbd (e.g., models-korg-tbd) and post the exact model in the pinned “Request a new model tag” thread. We’ll add it and retag.

Give Synthchaser.com an email. He doesn’t list that synth as something he works on, but that generation of Synths is his area of expertise. He may know of or can recommend some replacement switches. The white slide switches have been obsolete since the late 70’s

You need to check the pins. But anyway try searching for “Slide Switch”, for example Amazon slide switch or this one guitar parts slide switch

Thanks for your help. I contacted Synthchaser but he couldn’t help. I think I have found the switches in black so will order a couple and if they fit swap out all the rest for black. If it works I’ll post on here. In the meantime I’m still tryig to get the thing running. I think the matched pair has had it!
