Options to recreate Arp Odyssey Mk I panel?

I am restoring a friend’s Mk I Odyssey which at some point was painted red with P-Touch labels on some controls but not all. It’s pretty ugly. He is interested in somehow restoring it to at least resemble the classic synth it once was.

I’m brainstorming options and so far the most reasonable one is to have a large laser-printed decal made and carefully applied to the panel. Another friend runs a graphics department at a local tech school and has made a 22" vinyl kick drum decal for me so I assume this would be the same process.

Other than making a replica silk screen and doing it over like they did it in 1972, what other options might any of you think of?

Thank you!
Roger
