Working on a Polysix restoration and right out of the gate I have a bad transformer. Not sure where to find one. Any tips?
It is very rare that transformers go bad. I am sure you did check for a blown fuse? From the service manual it looks like it is a 2 x 15V transformer. I would assume you can replace it with a similar type as long as it delivers the same amps than the old one.
How do you know it’s bad…did you check continuity on primary and secondary windings…?
Yes that’s what we checked.
