Dear Group,
I’m hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I have with an ARP Quadra restoration.
At the end now of a long restoration project and we’ve recently replaced all the IC chips in the synth and did a calibration after and all was well until I hit the INTERVAL WRITE switch which transposed the keyboard out of tune by a minor third.
I understand how this switch functions normally. When setting the interval to the corresponding keyboard note of C1, C2 or C3, etc. - the synth should play a C when you hit a C but it plays a D#. It will stay out of tune until I power cycle the keyboard. Then the C plays a C until I hit the INTERVAL WRITE switch again.
It does not matter what initial pitch I tune the Quadra to - it will always jump a minor third after I hit the INTERVAL WRITE.
This is only relevant to the LEAD section of the keyboard of course which is the only one affected by INTERVAL WRITE in normal use. Anyone with any ideas about this? TIA!
