Hello to all.
Greetings from Athens Greece
I m a proud owner of a legendary Roland D-50 since 1988.
After a full restoration of all buttons and sliders and a full clean the instrument, I realized that some sound patches, are sound like they are out of tune. even a semitone, up or down.
Can you help me with this?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi. Have you checked the bend pitch making sure it returns to the center position?

Double check that you don’t have a key transpose set in the patch

Hello,
Thank you for your reply…
Yes I m sure that the pitch bend returns to the center position, because the out of tune happens only to some of the patches…not to all.
Thank you synzoneau for your reply.
There is no key transpose set in the patch. It happens only to some of the patches.
Hello to all again.
Is there any possibility this weird behavior could be cause of a malfunctioned mainboard?
Thank you very much
Don Michael V
The best way to eliminate and editing errors is to due and factory reset and then reinstall the factory programs via a DATA CARD. If you don’t have one you can search online and purchase it. If you reset you keyboard you will need to reinstall the factory patches with a card. If you are near Austin I have one and we can get together to perform this. Where are you located?

You can edit the individual patches that are out of tune and tune them to see of they can be tune and saved.

Good morning from Athens Greece AustinK.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes I do have the data card, I ve already did a factory reset to the unit, and copied the patches by bulk data transfer from card to the synth. Same results. It seems that the memory slots the patch is saved is malfunctioning. Thats why i wonder if there is a problem with the main board of the d50, and needs to be replaced. What do you think?
Thank you in advance
