Howdy!
I got a Roland D70 that is in mostly working order, but a handful of the keys are not responding. I disassembled and tried cleaning the contact points, which seemed to work on a few of the keys, but I was wondering if there is a recommended procedure when it comes to issues like this. I’ve tried looking for new contact strips but they seem hard to come by. Any help is appreciated!!
I have a similar problem. Given how tricky it seems to get the keys all usable again, I’m thinking of rebuilding the D70 in virtual reality.
One option is to connect a MIDI keyboard and play through that. I’ve thought about trying to “chop” the D70 to take away the keyboard and make it more like a desktop synth, but I don’t think that’s realistic.
