Roland FP-30X parts?

I have a Roland FP-30X with a failing transducer, if that’s what you call it - the D2 key responds with a full-volume output, even when I press it lightly. I’m willing to try replacing the innards myself, but my main question is: here on this fantastic-looking website, I find the Roland FP-30 listed, but no FP-30X. (Whereas I see both the FP-60 FP-60X, for example.)

Can I assume the FP-30 parts are the same? That kinda seems unlikely.

Suggestions appreciated.

The correct Roland part number for the keyboard assembly set (for FP30X) (it’s only available as all 3 boards but includes the rubber contacts attached already is 5100068954 ( for PX-7C/D assembly).

The FP-30 part is different and used in the older PX-7B assembly

Hope this helps!

Sorry, I think I was not clear. I have a FP-30X and am specifically wondering if part 5100047674 (from Contact strip, 12-note, Roland - Syntaur ) would work in it?

(I know it’s out of stock but I’ve signed up for notifications.)

The contacts may simply need a clean. One of the contacts must not be working correctly

Thanks, @sargfowler, I was hoping that might be it. I’ll try that first, of course!

Do you recommend anything in particular to clean it with? Alcohol? I do have a can of “tuner cleaner”, would that be good?

I use cotton buds and IPA

Tuner cleaner should work too

Try to swap out the rubber contacts next up octave to verify that the rubber contact is or is not the problem.
