Roland Juno 106 w/ Kiwi Mod – Bender amount affects master pitch even after calibration
• Model & revision/OS: Juno 106 with Kiwi Mod on latest OS
• Symptoms (what changed, when): When you increase the pitch bend amount, the master pitch of the synth increases as well. This started only after installing the KIWI mod.
• Tests already done (voltages, parts replaced): The entire synth, including the bender has been calibrated. Tech tried calibrating the pot, changing the pot, swapping the op amps, and just outright changing the entire bender assembly with a working one. The bender wheel is centered. The same problem persists. The tech has never seen this in a Juno.
Any idea what could be the source? What else should I try? The bench fees are piling up, the synth is in another state, and I’m starting to lose my wits. I should add that the JUNO 106 is an early model, I had to remove an additional chip during the mod as a result.
