Hello
I just got a Roland JW-50 that won’t turn on; as I was once, able to bring a Korg DW 8000 back to life, by just replacing a fuse, I opened it up trying to find a power supply or transformer, where maybe a blown fuse would be, but didn’t see one; does anybody know if the JW-50 has one of those? if not I wonder if anybody would have an idea what else could be preventing it from powering up; as it didn’t come with an AC adapter I’m using a Roland PSB 1U, from a Juno DS, which I’ve seen as recommended replacement in another forum, while at the same time, wondering if this adapter is supplying the necessary power for the JW-50; I’m trying to repair it myself as the nearest repair center is about 200 miles away; thanks in advance for any help
Does it have a battery inside? It could be dead.
if the internal battery is dead then replacement and a factory reset is needed.
Hi, thanks for the reply; I replaced the battery, but still no power; I’m trying to find if it has a power supply/transformer where a blown fuse might be; haven’t found one yet
Thank you for the reply; I replaced the battery but as it still doesn’t turn on a factory reset wouldn’t be possible at this time
