I have a roland sh1000 that has crackling and Pops. Issue is only present when note is depressed or while on hold mode. Noise is not as defined when on the bass preset but still there. Sounds like a dusty ol record! I have a scope and multimeter. I have no ability to read a schematic but am willing to try. I just finished up replacing all the caps excluding the tantalums but it did not fix my noisy azz rollie. With lots of back and forth with ai its leaning towards the transistors being the next thing to start replacing. Im getting unreliable readings when attempting to try to test them. Besides recapping I have sprayed deoxit on all pots/sliders/switches. I also lightly filed and sprayed down all pin connections. 90% of the time, doing these things has resolved any isues with my vintage gear buys but this roland has some failing components for sure. When I manipulate any knob/fader/connectors/switches, it has no effect on the level or intensity of noise. I did scope the output from the vco and its clean…Anyone deal with this issue? Any help narrowing down what failed would be much obliged!!
