W-30 - Problem following the installation of a new jack board

I recently tried installing a new jack board in my W-30. The new board only outputs a weak signal on the left side via Output 1 (and there is no sound from the headphone output).

I reinstalled the old jack board, and everything went back to normal; the headphone signal returned to its proper level.

I tried installing the new jack board a second time. The result was the same: still no sound from the headphone output and a very weak signal on the left side of Output 1 only.

I put the old jack board back in one last time, and the sound returned to normal.

Is there something I’m overlooking or doing wrong?

What was the reason for the replacement ?
Was something broken on the old board ?

Thanks for the feedback, Didier—do you speak French?

Regarding the original jack board on my W-30, the input gain knob is physically defective. I figured it would be easier to replace the entire board (no soldering required) than to try and source the specific knob and replace it (which involves soldering). Absolutely everything on the old board works (inputs and outputs) except for the input knob. Currently, I cannot select the desired entry level.

However, as I mentionned, when I install the new board, nothing happens at all. Yet, there’s no way to get the connectors wrong, as they can only be plugged in one way. I really don’t understand what’s going on, and so far, Syntaur (who sold me the new board) has remained silent.

Based on the attached analog board schematic, the PHONES output is connected to output 1. Therefore, if output 1 is faulty, the PHONES output cannot work.

As you can see from the schematic, several components could be causing the fault.
If you have some electronics skills and the necessary equipment, we can troubleshoot the issue together.
Otherwise, I believe replacing the faulty potentiometer would be the quickest and least expensive solution.
