It’s working in reverse. Once pedal board is connected, the keys are automatically sustained.
Anyone to help and assist on what could be the cause and mode of repair?
Thanks am most grateful.

It is the same with my Oxygen keyboards - if you don’t plug them in before you power up the keyboard. Next option would be to get a pedal with a polarity switch.
Good luck!
You need a pedal with the opposite polarity. Some pedals have a switch which is normally closed (Yamaha, Roland), and it opens the circuit when pressed. Others (Korg, Ensoniq) use a normally open pedal that closes the circuit when pressed. Using the wrong pedal works backwards.
Some sustain pedals have a polarity switch, so they can be used in either configuration.
