Hey guys, so I picked up an old Yamaha CS01 which doesn’t turn on. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of common issues with the CS01 that I should be looking out for. Really want to fix this synth but I’m not sure where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
Is your power supply unit working? check first
As NICK055 said - check your power supply first - incl make sure whatever you have has the right polarity - the CS01 is polarity protected by a diode in series - hence wrong polarity won’t break it.
If that is OK - check the DC connector on the circuit board - the eyelet may have broken off the track - common problem - happening when DC plug is wiggled often.
