I just acquired a Yamaha FX-3 organ with a TM-1 tone cabinet. It looks really cool and seems to be in good shape, But when I got it home and hooked the TM-1 to the FX-3 and plugged the power for both of the units in and turned them on, the only sound I get is a kind of a deep electronic click or pop. The red power lights on both units are lit up, but I can push any buttons on the FX-3 and no additional lights come on and no further sounds happens.
I am hoping you guys can steer me in the right direction toward getting this magnificent instrument playing again! I’m hoping that it might just be something like some fuse or power supply. But any information would be extremely helpful. I don’t have a user manual but I think I’ve located a service manual.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
