I am a Syntaur customer for years, having purchased numerous keys for my Yamaha Motif-8 due to Yamaha’s poor keybed design on this Motif.
I am the original owner and own several Yamaha Keyboards.
I started having issues with voices in my User Banks that I loaded from various Motif Sound Banks that stopped sounding.
Then I noticed that I was no longer able to save my current board settings to my Smart Media Card that I have used since purchasing the Motif New.
Then I received an internal battery error warning. Yamaha Service told me my inability to save was likely due to a low battery (lasted 10+ years)
I took my board to an authorized Yamaha Repair Center to replace the battery (which I supplied to save time).
The internal battery error went away but still unable to play those User voices and still unable to save my board setting to my Smart Media card.
The New battery gave me an internal battery error after 5 months (vs 10+ years on the last battery).
Changed battery but lost all my board settings, AND received another internal battery error w/ the new battery.
Was able to load a 3/22 file from my Smart Media Card, but still lost 2.5 years worth of work.
Same authorized Yamaha Repair Center confirmed with Yamaha Service that my DM board was defective and draining the new batteries.
The authorized Yamaha Repair Center searched availability of this DM board and found nothing.
Don’t see anything on your website for a DM board so PLEASE Need help.
I did contact the authorized Yamaha Repair Center and was again told there was NO Part #, but DM Board.
