Hi all. I recently purchased a Yamaha Motif8 that would not produce sound. Midi Out does function but no sound with Midi In. I did the factory reset but still no sound. Inspected the inside, boards, connectors and ribbon cables and all looks good. My next step is to remove the jack board to better inspect the solder joints. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
I expect the factory reset would have taken care of this, but… just in case… Have you checked that Local Control is ON?
Yes, Local Control is On. I installed a tested/working jack board and still no sound. Back to the drawing board!
Did you run diagnostics to narrow down the issue? Have you got access to the diagnostics manual?
I would love to be able to do that. Can you point me in the right direction?
