In January 2022 I had my P515 repaired for a malfunction:
Some notes were extremely loud compared to others - with same pressure.
In Yamahas Service Bulletin no. DMI0064eu, Yamaha offered a free replacement of the MK-M, MK-L, and MK-H boards along with the corresponding rubber contacts.
However, I still have problems with some of the higher notes. (two-year warranty has expired)
My question to the forum is:
-
Can I settle for replacing only the rubber contacts without replacing the MK-H board?
-
If I replace any of the parts, will I get the same problem or has the items been upgraded?
-
As a non-technician - can I replace them?
I will appreciate all comments on the issue
