Yamaha P515 Digital Piano

In January 2022 I had my P515 repaired for a malfunction:
Some notes were extremely loud compared to others - with same pressure.

In Yamahas Service Bulletin no. DMI0064eu, Yamaha offered a free replacement of the MK-M, MK-L, and MK-H boards along with the corresponding rubber contacts.

However, I still have problems with some of the higher notes. (two-year warranty has expired)

My question to the forum is:

  1. Can I settle for replacing only the rubber contacts without replacing the MK-H board?

  2. If I replace any of the parts, will I get the same problem or has the items been upgraded?

  3. As a non-technician - can I replace them?

I will appreciate all comments on the issue

You need to call the tech services dept at Yamaha to see what they suggest.

Has that DMI0064 been applied ??

I would suggest taking it to a Service Center it is a easy process if you have taken these unit apart several times before for after you have installed them to test you have to reassemble the unit to a point for testing and if something is not correctly installed you will have to disassemble it completely once again and that is where the problems begin and possible damage which will incur a more expensive repair.
